We continue to enjoy our daily circle time, learning from and with each other while making some awesome personal connections with our peers.
In ELA, we have continued our personal creative writing. Lots of the students are picking up on previous stories, collaborating together, or being entirely original. Next week we will look to finish our first rough copy and will go looking for some feedback.
In Social Studies, we have activated our prior knowledge about the fur trade and are looking to gain a deeper understanding of the very foundation of "Canada".
For Math this week, we have continued to progress with division. The students have been working through a series of pages, progressively becoming more challenging.
Please be mindful of the Disconnect Challenge taking place next week!!
Science
Wednesday, February 12th was the due date to have finished typing up their animal/plant research report. They did it on Google docs, which is
available at home for those of you who have Internet. Ask to see your child’s
report. It is a one page, double spaced, size 12 font. The focus is on a plant
or animal’s adaptations and should include a minimum of 3 online resources.
