In HUMS this week, we have gone back to splitting the ELA and Social Studies. We completed reading our novel, Sees Behind Trees, explored some quotes, and completed a mini test around some key quotes from the story. Next week we will spend time working on a final novel project.
In Social Studies, we have moved our focus back to North America, and are watching a video around the development of New France. Next week we will continue to watch the film and then perhaps get into a textbook visit.
In Math we have created a foldable note to help remember the divisibility rules. Next week we will spend time working with some division before embarking on another comprehensive task.
7 Science
We have now started
the unit Interactions in Ecosystems. Students have been learning new terminology,
concepts and did a lab to represent various adaptations and competition for
resources. Report cards will be coming out in the next few weeks so check online
to see that your child has been completing their assignments.
