Power Up

Power up has moved to a new space where all students have access to computers and a wide space to do their work. We are also progressively transitioning to a no phone zone (with some exceptions). Students are just starting a magazine/journal project on Google Docs in which they will write articles about health and wellness, learning, adolescence and some biographical aspects as well. They will have a lot of choice for the remainder of their articles which will be based on their interests.

The main focus this week was introducing the project, start planning and exploring the magazine template.  It’s really exciting to see how some already have good ideas of what they want to do and are keen to start. As this is a long-term project, we will continue to guide them through the process.

We will also continue to allow time for students to catch up and get extra help on their assignments during this class for students who wish to do so.
